Obstacles

I have had to overcome many obstacles in my life but one of the most difficult was being overweight. I had always been over weight and as I went through school I was made fun of for it but I never really did anything about it. I had always just thought who cares if I'm over weight, I have good grades. Then come eighth grade I started to hear about it more, I weighed 220 lbs. But once I got to high school my baseball coach told me that I needed to get faster and I also thought I'd be happier if I was in better shape. So over the summer between this and last year I lost 40 lbs. I had to sacrifice foods that I would normally eat and I'd have to take more time to exercise and run. To me sacrifice means to give something up that you would usually use or want. I still think the best think I ever did was give up pop and junk food for the summer and run because I'm happier with who I am and it is helping me with sports and other things in my life.
Another obstacle that I have overcome in my life is a decision by someone that I had looked up to. My dads friend was a doctor and I had always looked at him like as my uncle because I wanted to be like him. Then he made a decision that made me look at him differently and I had to get over it and find someone else that I could look up to.

Perseverance

Perseverance is trying as hard as you can through the whole thing no matter how tough it is. I have persevered in my life the past few months because my grandparents have both been in the hospital for a while and my grandpa has been in since March. Another example of this in my life is keeping my grades up through the year no matter how hard the work gets.
An image that represents true perseverance is this picture because he only has one leg but he persevered through his pain and won a wrestling championship in college. A good quote for this is below because Tasks may seem  hard but once you have finished it you realize that its not as bad as it had seemed before it was completed.“It always seems impossible until it's done.”  ― Nelson Mandela

Cheating

I believe that cheating is wrong and that quote isn't right because cheating is wrong no matter what. I believe that kids cheat because they are either lazy or believe that they have to much work to complete and need a faster way to get it done. To decrease the amount of cheating schools should increase the amount of punishment that the student would receive if caught.

Time Travel

If I could time travel I would want to go to the time of the Dinosaurs to see them and then I would want to come back to the present time so I could take the fossils of the dinosaurs back and sell them to make a lot of money. Another time I would travel would be right before they discovered flu medicine so I could discover it and make money off of that but I would want to help people. A thing I would want to do is go to the future to meet myself so I could learn who I had become and see if there was anything I could do to change who I had become. Another thing I would do would be go back in time to when my parents were young to see how they acted so I could see if I act like them at all. I know this isn't part of what the prompt was but I would go back to the day I asked Miranda out and do it in person instead of by text because that is one thing I want to change.

Laughter

Things that I find funny are things that are stupid funny like sports bloopers and AMF. Things that Miranda and Alyssa do and say I also find pretty funny because they make no sense. I also find it funny when people do things that obviously aren't gonna work because its stupid.
I find this video very funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBH-Fj0DUPM

Leaf Post

If I was a leaf and I knew that fall was on the way I would be preparing to move on and fall. I would know that I was about to be at the end of my life but that there would be a new generation coming in the spring. I would be okay with the fact that I was about to die because I had live a full life.

Bottled Up Memory

A memory that I would bottle up to keep would be the time I went to China to get my sister because that was a big part of my life. I would open it up every once in a while because I enjoyed it in China and we got my sister. When un-bottling this memory I would think about how we got my sister and the time we had. This memory makes me happy to think about.
